When shopping for clothes and footwear, you usually pay 12% Taxes (7% PST + 5% GST). However, children under 15 are exempted from paying the 7% PST. Some people call this "BC One Tax" but I don't think it's the official name.

Tips

• Most online shopping sites do not have ways to exempt sales taxes for you. This is best done in a physical store (especially with popular brands).
• When shopping for adult-sized clothing for your children under 15, ask at the counter "This is for my child under 15. Can you give me a tax-form to sign?" and you will be given a form that looks like this.
