• Ask your mobile phone carrier to unlock your phone so that you can use your phone in Canada (or in other countries)
• Prescription glasses and dental services are quite expensive. You may consider getting things done before flying in.
• If you want to continue to use your financial services from your home town, check the expiration for your credit card, OTP (one-time-password) cards. Most OTP cards will stop working after 3-4 years, and the batteries may not be replaceable. You may wish to get a new one issued before leaving your country.
• Your home country's Costco membership could be cheaper than in Canada. You can use the international membership card in Canada.
